Detailed Itinerary of this Tuk Tuk
On the day of your experience, you can head directly to the meeting point at Rua do Corpo da Guarda 20, in front of São Bento Station, or choose the convenience of the pick-up service at your accommodation, upon request and subject to availability.
After check-in, completed 15 minutes before departure, you will begin a unique tour through the historic streets of Porto, aboard a quiet and comfortable electric tuk tuk.
The journey begins in the most emblematic area of the city, passing by São Bento Station, known for its stunning tile panels. Then, you will head to the impressive Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto), where the city’s history comes to life. Next, you will see the Fernandine Walls, a remnant of the city’s medieval past, and continue through the Batalha area, home to the São João National Theatre and the Church of Santo Ildefonso.
The route continues along the bustling Santa Catarina Street, known for its traditional shops and local commerce, where you can admire the iconic Café Majestic. Afterwards, you will head to the elegant Avenida dos Aliados, the heart of the city.
Later, we pass through the Ceuta Tunnel, next to the imposing Hospital de Santo António. Then, we arrive at the Virtudes Garden, a unique spot with breathtaking views over the Douro River. From there, we go up to the Relação Court, a remarkable example of historic judicial architecture.
The experience continues past the Portuguese Centre of Photography. As we continue through the landscapes of Porto, we head to Gomes Teixeira Square (Lions Square), a central hub of academic and cultural life in the city. We pass by the famous Lello Bookstore, then the Carmo Church and the neighboring Carmelitas Church, continuing to the iconic Clérigos Tower.
The route crosses the Jewish Quarter of Porto, with its narrow traditional streets, and then the authentic Rua das Flores, before reaching the historic Ferreira Borges Market.
After this memorable experience, you will return to the original meeting point or your accommodation, if that option was selected. You will leave with the feeling of having discovered the essence of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, ready to continue exploring the city with confidence.

Best activity in Porto
The tuk-tuk ride around the city was the best activity we did in Porto. The tour is very complete, taking us past all the main tourist attractions. In just one hour, we were able to see the entire historic center, which helped a lot since the city has many hills — so we didn’t get too tired. We also found it very important that the tuk-tuks at Living Tours are 100% electric, as it reassures us that we are not harming the environment.
